No, I just did like I saw on YouTube and filled a tub with water, sprayed the paints alternately, used a thin stick to swirl a little, slowly dipped the skull, pushed the surface paint back with a piece of cardboard, and lifted the skull out. I want to do something else now.

That looks nice. I cleaned my niece's first buck skull last year and she's wanting something unique done with it. I may have to give that a try. You mind sharing the video link you watched? Thanks!

Jv, you use oil base spray paint in the cans. Oil and water don't mix. You can find many videos on you tube. Very easy to do. Not just skull mounts, but anything you want to dip.
