Well, I'm just a bit perturbed. I let that buck go last weekend, and then wished I had taken him. It was a cold day and he would have stayed fresh. Now I have a hot weekend with probably no chance of seeing him or any other decent buck. If I do see one, it will have to be a fast butcher job, something I'm not good at. Maybe the next weekend will be lucky. Just crazy Mississippi weather this January, but it is fun to sit outside and look at the full moon and the night sky. Dusty, I am going to keep at it too! I got one with a 21 inch spread on Jan. 31 a few years ago.

Thinking all this bipolar weather has done gave me the Mississippi crud, looks like I will be setting in the recliner for a few days. :bash:

Just think Dusty, you could be having to sit in an office, staring at a computer for 12 hours a day and not getting to hunt at all. I might get lucky enough to get in a few more days before it is over.

I hope you feel better soon jv. Sooooooo many folks have had it this year. I was down for the 3 day New Year weekend with it. Miserable.

Dusty, that always hurts, but it also shows you that you never know what is going to show up. Most of the better deer we kill aren't on any of our cameras, they just appear. Maybe in a few days someone will be upset because you killed the big deer they have been watching on camera miles away from you.

Sweating while outside is not a problem in my neck of the woods. ;)

That's a beautiful buck! Glad it was a buddy that got him if it couldn't have been you. Five miles seems a long way. I was guessing that they roamed in about a 2.5 mile area.
