Have a friends son hunting with me this morning on public land here in Louisiana. Heard a few shots but nothing real close. Doesn’t seem to have as many hunters this year. My boys will be up late this evening.

Good luck to everyone. ImageImageImage

Looks like a beautiful spot. Hope the deer think so too! Good luck

Well we almost killed yesterday evening. A big doe got between us so my buddy didn’t shoot. No deer is worth taking that chance.

My boys drove up last night so4 of in the tree on wma. My youngest went to his killing tree up the road and my oldest and buddy with me spread out in this palmetto jungle. The palmettos are up to my chin. I just shot a doe in the neck, don’t know how big it is. All I could see was head at 40 yards away.

I used to hunt a place like that on Malmaison, deer seemed to love those palmetto's as a travel area.
Happy hunting to all of you
