Actually, I’m hoping everyone will let all of those walk, but it sure was some kind of fun to sneak through the pasture to see if they were out in the open. David was clipping the day before and four of those came out while he was driving along. Oh, and when I was walking back to the house after snapping those pics, a fawn jumped up not 6 feet from me!

Them boys, will disappear into the shadows very soon. And it will take a skilled hunter, such as flipper, to be able to connect.

Hey! Hey! No need to be a negative Nancy. Them deer are like pets over there. Flipper has them conditioned to eating out of her hand. Haters gonna hate. Team 1 are the real deal!

Yes, that buck does indeed have a double main. I snuck up on them again this past Monday afternoon and got another look at him. Terry is nice to pay me compliments about my hunting prowess, but I'm just lucky......AND I have hunted this area for years and have let lots of small ones walk, as have most of my neighbors. Those bucks will disappear soon, but I know where to be looking for them to make a reappearance. I am really looking forward to being in some chilly woods or on the edge of a field waiting for the excitement of some chasing activity. There's just nothing like turning your head and seeing a good set of white antlers moving along.

Let me correct myself. It’s not a double main I don’t believe. Just another beam. Whatever. It’s just amazing to me how different in size they look depending on their ear and head positioning. These pics were taken Monday. They were ImageImageImagelooking at a calf.

And today. I was going to get the smoker going and looked across the pasture. The first is the view from my house...

Since we don’t plant food plots or put out corn or blocks or anything, they will leave and go find some, but there will be others and these will pass back by. I want their daddy!

That's awesome Flipper. I have does and a spike in my pasture every evening. I have a feeder and a plot in my pines. This was the only place my dad hunted the last 5-6yrs or so.

I woudln't be so sure, as I have a feeling that flipper probably enjoys seeing those deer more around the house, than killing them, which I could completely understand :ylsuper:

Gtk knows me well. I prefer to at least go across the creek that runs through our place or on over the hill to the lease behind us, or to the old hog farm woods to hunt. It’s just so enjoyable to sit out on the deck and watch the deer year after year. Also, I am really planning on hunting for a trophy this year. That and the old buck from last year that had the cool rack.
