Hope It's A Good One

My son sent a message right at dark. Said he had shot a hoss. Was backing out until morning, not wanting to push him. Said, he hit the ground on impact but then got up and ran. He heard him go back down. We will wait and see.

Shoot I wish letting them lay overnight was an option around here. The Yote and bobcat population is through the roof. Good luck, can't wait to see pictures!

They are bad in Yazoo, also. He may just get the rack. If he finds him.

Never found him. But killed a smaller one while looking for it Sunday, morning.
Also found a doe the neighbor had shot Saturday, morning. Yotes had been on it.

That's the downside of hunting 40 acres. A misplaced shot can cost you a good deer, we don't cross property lines. But the deer don't know to fall on our side of the fence.

I hate that he didn’t find the deer but that’s all part of the sport we call hunting.

I hate loosing any especially a good one,
I believe I would have found it had I been there. Just to much blood. He found where he had layed down and it was a puddle of blood.

Said it had got down to tiny drips and then nothing. I think he was drained by the photos I got. I believe I will find it tomorrow. Or at least the rack.
