15-19th has always been “magical” for me, but I was hoping for some of that this week too.
Saw a beautiful stout young 8 point today that was worthy to be taken, but there’s a 10 I’m hoping to get first.

I let a good one go sunday evening thinking it was the younger one of two really nice 8 points I have been seeing a lot the last couple of months, I had seen the older of the 2 pushing a couple of does Saturday evening and just couldn't get a shot. Sunday evening he stepped out at 180 yards and it was a lil foggy so I was looking at him thinking that he was the right one that I wanted to take but wasn't 100 percent sure...he walked behind a grass strip I had left standing and I then saw the younger one and by the time the shooter stepped back out it was just too dark at that end of the pasture to take an ethical shot so I watched with the binos great hunt but reall disappointed cause he is on my hit list

Nothing wrong with passing up a shot you are not comfortable with.
I hope he gives you a better chance.
