Messed up

Postby flipper » Thu Dec 13, 2018 12:58 pm

I normally let one like this walk, but I just couldn’t help myself. Maybe the job of cleaning will make me more careful, but I seem to do this every year.

Thanks y’all. I know when I saw him he was going over a terrace and I remember seeing that left main beam which looked really long. I never got to look at him straight on, but regardless, he’s a big one. I know I’m older, but each hindquarter was a struggle to carry in the house, and the backstraps filled the bucket more so than in the past. Wish I had a scale.
My husband is going to be so happy with me when he gets home from work. Not because I killed the deer and had it skinned, in the fridge, and everything cleaned up, but because after tending to the deer I fed his cows, so he won’t have to in the rain!

Geez. First you roast me in the contest thread. Shoot a great buck! Take care of it. And feed cows? Let me guess, you cook too . I’m thinking like Chad! Either that or I’ll send you my wife for a week and... well I’ll stop there and just congratulate you on a great buck!

Ha, ha, y'all are funny! I do have a sister, but she is a messed up democrat who would never hunt or drive a tractor. I need to do one of those 23 and Me tests to see if we are actually related because we have nothing in common. Oh yes Missed Mallards, I do cook, but not as good as Chad or Terry or any others on this forum.

Oh I’m so jealous! I’d be shooting more if I had family to help, but none of ours care anything about it.

Congratulations flipper, haven't seen a decent buck, in three years. I have only spikes and messed up 3 & 4 points. No idea what happened to our good bucks.

Seeing all those back in the summer gave me hopes. I’ve gotten some nice ones on camera even in daylight, but they haven’t gotten careless in front of me yet. They are out there. So am I.
