Can someone give me suggestions on a pair of binoculars that are not so expensive. Although I wish I could, I can't afford Swarovski, etc. I'd like to stay around the $300 area if possible.

i purchased a pair of 10x42 Nikon's and love them.. I think they are either the Monarch or Wind River, I cant remember. They cost $250 when I purchased them but I think they have come down some...

Sams Wholesale will carry some binoculars sometimes, when it gets close to hunting season. I purchased a pair of Bushnell 10x42 from them for $50 bucks and its a pretty decent pair of binoc's. I got them just to keep in my truck.

check out the nikons at wal-mart i have the 10x42's also and they're great. The price wasn't that bad either. Looked at Leupold WindRiver, but Nikon was clearer IMO

ghc,

I have a pair of Nlkon Monarch 10x42 and I am very happy with them. They cost around $300.00 and are a lot of binocular for the money.
