Whats happening in your neck of the woods ?

The new primitive weapon guidlines??

Postby hungryhuntergirl » Fri Aug 19, 2005 4:56 pm

Has anyone read the guidlines for primitive weapon this year?? We are allowed to use a breech loader that the design was introduced before 1900
and it uses a metallic cartridge loaded with black powder or a black powder substitute. Ex sharps rifles Is this old news or am i just slow!!!

ur not slow, you just need to visit more often

i think the newer in-line muzzleloaders probably perform better than those old breechloaders anyway. theres another post on it somewhere, i think under the guns forum..

Agreed. Personally, I'd love to own an old henry rifle & kill a deer with it.

gtk, ole henry doesn't qualify, b/c its not a single shot

Beez, I got me a sharps replica on order. The new law gave me the go ahead or reason to buy one.

you can hunt during regular firearms season with a Henry. If I had one then I would carry it until atleast one deer was killed with it ...
