I love to scout late feb early march before the grres stuff starts growing. It is much easier to pick up sign that was missed in the fall. The wife does not want to hear about scouting in feb but it is a fact of life if you want to keep up with your deer and what there patterns are.Good luck to everyone scouting this year.
You will find me 25 feet up in a tree.

I like to call it "Year Round" Scouting. I guess there is no really time that I just hit the woods scouting. We are constantly riding around on 4-wheelers, tractors, and such. You get a general idea of how things are happening while doing this.

About September or so, I break out the trailcams. And then start looking at the overall picture.

I'll spend the next several month doing things I've been ignoring around the house :)

I will leave my trailcams out till I get tired of checking them, or it gets too hot for them to pick up much. Last year I was still getting pics of bucks till the end of February.
