Today was probably the last for me this season.

Tonight, while driving home, standing on the corner of our front yard, WAS ONE OF THE BIGGEST BUCKS I"VE SEEN ! 6:45pm and this buck is in my FRONT YARD! He was better than anything I've got on the wall, and he just stood there looking at me like, "hey, watcha gonna do about it". jeeeesh.

as a matter of fact, I think after church tomorrow, I may just have to go sit in the edge of the woods behind the house :)

My last day was Saturyday. I took a big ol' doe. She came out with two others and I took the biggest. Not braggin' but it took 4 shots with my muzzle loader. She was over 150 yds. The first shot she fell. Sat back, took a breath and looked around. Looked back at her and she had her head up. Then I loaded and fired again. When the smoke cleared, she was up and running. She got to the edge of the field and stopped so I reloaded. Blasted again. She fell. I got my stuff together, loaded up on the 4wheeler and drove down the field to her. When I got up beside her, she raised her durn head and tried to get up. I had to put her out with the 4rth. I felt bad, but over time, I'll get used to my new modern "smoke pole".
