Prayer for relief....(updated)

Postby Smacko » Mon Mar 23, 2009 7:22 pm

Please pray for me as I am having severe pain in my lower back. I went to doctor today and ruled out a kidney infection. I am scheduled for an MRI on Tuesday afternoon. I have not been able to sleep much since Saturday because of the pain.
Thank you and God Bless,

Re: Prayer for relief....Update

Postby Smacko » Wed Mar 25, 2009 7:49 pm

Well I have a buldging disk on the verge of rupturing....they want me to see a surgeon but I told my wife and doctor that I do not want any more surgerys. I made a deal with them to go ahead and schedule the surgery for the first week in July as I am off that week. But in return I vow to lose a lot of weight before now and then to see if that improves my pain, (as I need to lose atleast 80 lbs or more).

So we will see...so if I get grouchy it's Outdoorswomans fault..lol.. :W: :W:

Of all the broken bones/sugeries I've had, nothing could compare to the pain I had when I had a ruptured disk. I was BEGGING for surgery.. When I had my surgery, and woke up from anesthesia, it was instant relief..

Good luck, and I don't envy you..

I had a friend that went in and had his back operated on and it did not help, he went in again and it help greatly. Had mine operated on not to long ago and it really helped. I know what you are saying in enough operation as this fits me very good also. I know the pain and I feel for anyone with back problems. All I can say is I suffered too long before I had the back corrected.

Sorry to hear this Mike. I had mine operated on in the early 80's after a forty foot fall. Took most of five years to reccover. One of my customers who just happens to be a surgeon just had hers done a couple of weeks ago and it's unreal what they have learned in twenty years. We we lift you up in our prayers. If you need anything just ask.

Good luck on the weight loss! Gonna be hard to lose weight when your back's hurting! I know that from experience.

Have you looked into the Back Care Institute in Memphis? I've heard great things about them. That might be an option before surgery.
