Great start for my boy!!!

Lets Talk Archery..

Great start for my boy!!!

Postby huntall » Fri Oct 04, 2013 6:38 pm

My boy shot him one this evening on his first hunt of the year! Last year it was January before he killed one. He has helped every time on work around our property! He helped plant plots, cut limbs, planted fruit trees and oak trees......you name it he has helped.
I'm proud of him and he deserves a deer :ylsuper:
It's only a spike, but he's happy for sure!
Picture coming!!!

Hey, it's all good. Giving up your bow to create memories like that one is well worth it. Your a good Dad to spend the time willingly to hunt with your boy and let him have a chance. The rewards from these days you spent together will repeat many times over in the future.

Congratulations to your son!

Thanks yall!
He is back at em this morning. I woke him up, and 10 minutes he was out the door.
He called back on the hand radio at 5:45, and he was in stand waiting on daylight. :D

Naw....he has helped too much and loves hunting too much to stay home! If he wants to hunt then I take him. I'll get my hunt in a week or so. I'm good with that. I'll just get another bow next summer. Like Firecloud said.....it's all good!

That's great, congratulations to both of you! You are teaching him a lot more than he realizes. He is learning the joy of reaping the rewards of hard work and how to work hard. Along with that he is learning what it is to be a selfless person. Giving up your bow and opportunity to hunt so that he can shows him what a good man is. He will remember that and it will have a major impact on the man he grows up to be. You are definitely on my hero list. Keep up the good work.
