Postby fbcoach39 » Thu Nov 14, 2013 9:50 am

Look I have read all these articles about different types of land features in which are best for hunting. I think I have located a saddle on my Topo map, wanted to share to see if I am correct.
is this a saddle?

Topo Map Question

The area between the two X's is a saddle. A saddle is formed between two hill tops, as shown.

Good info on terrain feature here! Hope it helps

Thanks redlegs, I thought that would be considered a saddle. I have another spot I would like you to look at as well. I have a new area of land to hunt and I think I have found a funnel. It has a big creek on one side about 25-30 yards of flat ground and then a monster bluff opposite of the creek. I have attached picture of it. You can see the creek then just below it is flat then the bluff. would this be considered a pinch point. There is a winter wheat to right then very think brush along creek to the left.
