I love hunting mature bucks but with the restrictions on bringing them back to miss I am. Going to hunt eaters instead of shooters. I will shoot any legal buck so get. Ready

there shouldn't be any problem bringing mountable deer back to MS. Just cape it out and bring only the skull plate. Debone the rest of the deer and your good to go

I'm so sick of the commercialaziton of the sport I truly love to most it's all about the horn size and they don't care about the animal it's self the problem is when you mess with mother nature it usually backfires cwd came in with relocated pen raised elk as I said I'll shoot a big boy but I'm just going to enjoy what god has given us and take what I want I won't pass many bucks .because of age I'm hustling to hunt.

Very understandable about feelings of commercialization. I suspect baiting played a major factor in the spread of CWD in AR but there is no way to put the toothpaste back in the tube. Baiting is the worse thing ever for wildlife to come out of commercialization.

I'm more like bigsteve, I will take what I want as long as it's legal. If I go out a kill a legal deer say 2 years old 7 point with a spread of 14 inches, now this deer is legal but so many people say I would let him walk he would be a better deer next year...excuse my language but hell I might not be here next year and I love to eat deer meat not the headgear. I'm going to go out on a limb here and say 90% of the hunters these day don't care for the meat only what's on top of the head and that's sad. Now am I going to pass up a 170 class deer, no he has hindquarters and back straps just like the 7 point I mentioned earlier. I guess what I'm trying to say is get out and enjoy what God created for us because one day it won't be here anymore as we know it because with all the regulations, restrictions, commercialization and trophy hunters it won't be here anymore as we know it.

I have never hunted deer over bait I did have a couple feeders trying to get pigs works on them I hunt public land killing a buck of any stature is hard and you have to work to get it done I soon will be 66 years old don't know how many I have left going to cherish every one I have left good hunting all we are surely blessed

Steve I'm the same way, the club I'm in we don't allow feeders and as far as I'm concerned we never will. We do have some restrictions set on some of our land as for the number of deer and size that can be killed and I have voiced my opinion on that. I like you will be 66 soon too, as a fact in less than a month and plan on enjoying what years I have left too.
