Missouri public land buck!

Postby PatriotDually » Tue Nov 18, 2008 7:58 am

Got this guy at daylight this past friday in Missouri. Me and 5 buddies went up there to an Archery only area. 5 out of the 6 of us shot and 3 of us got big 8 points.
This buck weighed 290lbs on foot. Had to drag him 500 yards to the boat, completely exhausted but well worth it lol.

He came in smelling a doe that had came thru about 15 minutes earlier, he appeared so quickly that i didnt have time to range him. I guessed him to be 35 yards and he was actually 28 yards. Hit him in the spine and then followed that up with a heart shot.

It was a blast, using the boat was great. We could sneak in the backside quietly and wait for the guys walking to push them to us.
