I shoot high country archery speed pro max arrows. 6.3 gpi, 100 grain tips, 29" draw, 63lbs with a truglo rangerover sight and a qad ultra rest. This thing is bad. No hand shock, vibration, and speed that will blow your mind.

That's grained out, what about a 300 grain arrow?

Head my advise and don't shoot a deer with those arrows, you will be very dissapointed. They are fine for practice but are too brittle to hunt with. Trust me, I know from first hand experience.

My XLR8 is only a 50# max bow, and I originally set it up with a super light arrow/broadhead combo. I was getting some outrageous speeds for such low poundage and was pretty stoked....Then common sense got the better of me, and I stepped up to both a heavier arrow and broadhead. It's still shooting 299 fps with an 8.0 gpi arrow and 85 gr COC broadhead. Might even bump the broadhead weight up to 100 gr before long....I feel confident either will do the trick.

Now I don't hear that little voice in the back of my mind telling me I was asking for trouble....
