Question about vanes

Postby BIGERN76 » Thu Sep 17, 2009 3:18 pm

I am thinking about switching from 4" vanes to the 2" blazer vanes. Do any of yall shoot the lil fellas and did you have to change your set up very much if any? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Ernie

Bigern I shoot a whisker biscut rest and the blazers dont get that wrinkly edge like the 4 inch vanes did after alot of shooting... My best freind went to the blazers and he absolutely loves em too he shoots a drop away rest..

Go for it and get us a couple of deer so we can win this contest......

I like them because they are taller than the regular vanes and as brewer03 said
the blazers dont get that wrinkly edge like the 4 inch vanes did after alot of shooting
. They make me think of the fins on a missle, the way they look in comparision to the arrow shaft :D .

I've been shooting them a couple of years and like the Blazers. Haven't noticed any major difference in the grouping.
GTK, the biggest advantage I know of is increased vane clearance with the riser and rest. If shooting a drop away I don't know if there would be any advantages or not. I mainly got some cause the were new and looked cool. 8)

Ok, don't think I am crazy, but stand down range of someone who you trust to be a really good shot and have them shoot one of each. You will be amazed at the difference! The blazer vanes are lots quieter! They are also easier to fletch if you are doing your own.
Score one for the little guy!
