That's some expensive turkey!! It would be interesting if I had the money though.

BTW, anyone know why the area of Desoto County is closed for spring turkey season? I won't be hunting there, just curious if its due to construction, population (turkey or human), or what.


Desoto - West of Hwy. 305, South of Hwy. 302, East of Hwy. 3, and East of Hwy. 61

they released turkeys in that area several years ago.. They are probably using those birds to populate the other areas nearby... In other words, they don't want anyone hunting them so they will expand some more.. I dunno, but it sounds aobut right :)

I believe you are right GTK, restocking program is the reason.
