They have been gobbling in North Tippah County for at least a week. My father-in-law heard one gobbling at 3:30 p.m.

teacher, I can't say about gobbling but I did see 6 long beards not far from your house wednesday afternoon. I left M.A. and took the first left, they were on the left before you get to the bridge. There were more birds but I couldn't tell anything about the others.

I lkie the "sound" of that. I hunt in Tippah/Alcorn counties.

I'm heading out this afternoon to remove a few deer stands from the woods and will probably hang around until late in the evening to see if I casn hear any late afternoon gobbling or maybe find a roosting area.

I'm going out of town next week and will not be returning until Sunday evening so I'm going to miss opening weekend.

I've got to report that they are gobblin thier dag gum head off in the golden triangle area!

Also I some hens on the side of the road and wouldn't you know back off in the woods a little bit there was a longbeard blowed up and struttin. To bad I don't own the land or know the person who does.

I would just like to say to everyone, Good Luck and hope everyone does good this year.
