We can't wait till sat morning! My boy shot some a couple weekends ago and was doing good so now we just need a turkey instead of a target!
Y'all hunting the youth hunt?
Good luck to all the kids!

good luck you you and your jake. My grand daughter said she didn't want to go turkey hunting yet I think she is still savoring her first deer kill...

I will be taking my 11 year old to try to get his first turkey. We could not get it done last season, so maybe we can get it done for him this year! Good luck everyone!

Anywhere between 25-30 is my favorite morning temps for turkey hunting. They gobbled pretty well where I was this morning but heard no shots as of about 30 minutes ago. I figured 1 was going to die cause he was still ripping it when I left.

We heard one gobble four times, and he was way off in the distance.
After that we did manage to catch some supper and some for the freezer.
We caught and kept 48 bream and one catfish.

We heard one gobble just over the property line. Evidently they stayed on the roost a lot longer than I was expecting. We saw about 10-15 turkeys fly down about 8;15 in the morn, but they never uttered a sound.

bwm & his son had one gobble and heard a few hens..

I'm hoping this weekend they are a little more vocal.
