Talk Turkey

3/17/14

Postby chadbragg » Mon Mar 17, 2014 7:16 pm

Had a good evening today. Came in from working and decided to go sit on a bean field close to my house to see if the turkey are using the area. Well a flock moved out in field. There was 4 large toms and about 20-25 hens. I sprinted down to an down a creek to the lower end of the field. Then belly crawled to within 75yds if them and got set up waiting. Hit the call once and this one made a b-line to me and I rolled him!

Dang Good Tom! I've killed 4 with 11" beards but I've never broke the 12" mark. Maybe this year? I have to wait until the 29th to try here but I heard turkeys gobbling three different directions Saturday morning at daybreak and I'm itching to go! Congrats Chad!
