So far this year....

Postby huntall » Sun Mar 23, 2014 5:22 am

My hunts so far this year .....have been a bust. I have heard at least on bird each hunt, but in the distance and nothing close enough to go after. Only gobble a couple times and that's it.
They don't act like they are all fired up yet at my place.
Y'all hearing much yet?

Don't worry same here and I have been after them for a week. They sound off on the tree then hit the ground and get the lockjaw.

Doug took our Grandson yesterday morning and they heard one but could not get on him. They also saw a couple of hens.

Finally worked a bird and he almost got within shooting range, but he circled just out of range. I'll try him next weekend.
