On the way to church this morning, while it was raining pretty hard I might add. I past the hay field where I have trying to get this gobble. There he was big as day with his hens out in the middle and in the pouring down rain.

Yeah, I would believe it. I figure after this flood that leaving some for seed is a good thing. I know we are going to lose some nests. Maybe except for the 1 that is nesting right by my yard. Saddens me. That and the fact that I saw 0 jakes this entire season in MS. I think that is a first ever.

10-4 on the rainy day Toms! I love turkey hunting on rainy days except for the getting wet and all? I've killed more than one Tom that gave up his location by gobbling at thunder.

I did my share of turkey hunting in the rain during my youth. Now, no more.

I would 100% believe it.

We have not had a turkey on our place all year, and last week hens started showing up.. I assume to nest..
