Season don't open till April 1st here but I've been scouting. It was 36 here this morning and I didn't see turkeys until 10:00 when it warmed up some.

Kenneth and I rode around most all day in the HSNF looking for places to try. Most of the turkeys we saw were near Byhalia. Some of them near GTKs place. We did see a few hens in the NF. One of them had a pretty decent beard. That was the 1st bearded hen I had ever seen.

Judging by what I been hearing for 3 or 4 weeks I doubt it will play a part. Cold weather discourages hunters more so than it does turkeys. Which I like :)
