Figures..

Went to the farm this afternoon, to put up some silt-fencing around our subdivision. I never really thought about turkey hunting it, but guess what I saw.. 4 gobblers together.. 2 big ones, 2 I couldn't tell

Figures.. If i had been hunting down there, I never would have seen any..

I'm bored so I am replying to an old post. I have been seeing 20 or 30 at a time in the fields along the river between me and HWY 305. I have also seen a few off Byhalia rd across from the old dump.

Nothing wrong with replying to an old post Rob
The feathered boy's will be singing their "song of love" very soon :2TU:
The thrill of deer season is winding down and the anticipation of the "Premier" season is upon "US"
:D Time to get your 60+ yard centerfire smoothbore's tuned up!! :D
or: if you hunt the" Tom" like me this coming season: your 12 gauge cylinder bore "English Fowler" styled flintlock named Braveheart.
I have noticed a large turkey population, so far, where I hunt and hope the same is true in Prim Ar.

Seems like they are getting thicker and thicker in our area. Never tried hunting them, but might have to try it.

That's about 5 miles west of me. Isn't there a farm or hunting club there on the right?. I know I can see a shootin' house in the sage grass from Byhalia rd.

i am still going to attempt to get a good gobbler this year with my bow.... I have struck out the last 3 years but I did get one within ten yards last year and the reason he got so close I had the shakes so bad I couldnt get my bow drawn

I have been seeing the ones off 305 also. Wish I knew who to talk to about hunting that area.
