4/25 farm last chance to hunt the family land so I figured I would. heard nothing but saw 2 hens.. have never had it this quiet on the family farm.....

4/26 Claiborne sanctuary had 6 birds gobble 58 times saw 3 hens couldn't get any of the gobblers to play

4/27 Claiborne millred 7 birds 129 gobbles saw 2 long beards and 2 jakes and 3 unknown birds... worked the 2 longbeards to within 100 yards but didn't realize there was a creek between us.... worked these birds for 2 hours circled around and got them to come back but there was another creek between us..... learning a new piece of property sux

4/29 Claiborne bald hill heard 5 birds gobblin 189 gobbles worked a bird alog the cutover for over 3 hours and just couldn't close the deal.. Hunted with P hood and was a great hunt..

4/30 Claiborne P Hood and I went back and hunted old camp had 4 birds gobbling 92 times got penned down in a logging road after busting a bird off the roost... he had us pinned in the looging road for over an hour at 75 yards by far one of those hunts we will talk about for many years to come

5/1 LAST CHANCE Claiborne little p line heard 2 birds gobble 10 times saw 1 longbeard 2 jakes 2 hens and 2 unknowns Worked the first gobbler in the cutover 2 hours and finally spooked him so I went to the other end of the cutover and got on another bird and we wnt back and forth for the next 3 hours ..... he finally caught me moving as I tried to move along a creek that was between us....

Hate to see this season close but I am ready for it to be over as well. this was by far the best season I ever had as a turkey hunter and killed my best bird to date.... cant wait for next year
