35 of them to be exact. Not a bad 4 hour hunt.

Wow, Congratulations on a great hunt. Rabbit hunting has never been very popular here in East Texas. Seems like we might be missing something. :?

Ironwood, I have made a few trips to the Tyler area to rabbit hunt with good success. The best thing about Texas rabbits is they are, or at least used to be considered as a nuisance animal which means they can be hunted year round. I don't think anyone does, but we would go the first week in March, just after our season closed.

I've always heard the only time to take wild rabbits is during months that have an R in the name. January, February, March, April, Septemper, October, November, December.

I don't think I've ever eaten wild rabbit. I'm sure it would taste very good. Like chicken I understand. :D
