2011/2012 Season in Review

Postby vahunterinms » Sat Mar 24, 2012 8:39 pm

I have to say this past Season was the best I have had in a long time. I met some great people along the way and was able to hunt with past hunting partners. The best part was taking the youngsters and watching them kill their first squirrels and coons. The smiles and memories will last a lifetime with these youngins and I am proud that Petey and I were a part of that. Here are some pictures of this years hunts from North Ms to Natchez, MS

Being able to follow along with your and Petey's hunts, gives people like me with one younger than Petey reason to eagerly anticipate getting where you are. It's one thing to have someone with an accomplished dog tell how you have to go through a lot of time and work to get them there. It's another to be able to follow along with you from last year when you were getting started with him and seeing him steadily progress. I know you are prowd of him and you have reason to be. I appreciate you letting us be a part of his growing up into a fine squirrel dog.

Thank you Glenn! You are right it's alot of work. With enough time and effort and alot of patience one will reap the rewords of their seeds. I was fortunate with Petey, he started at a very young age. Petey was 6 months old when he had his first sucessful hunt. We shot 3 wild squirrels to him and since then he has not looked back. Since then I put the hammer to him and he has progressed since. I am very much looking fotward to next season.

Thanks y'all for the kind words! I am proud of our accomplishments thus far..

Great pics VA!!! Lot of memories there for u and all of those involved. Matter of fact I got to experience one of those hunts!!!Great experience, made new friends, and got to watch Petey do his thing. I appreciate the advise and talking with about Gus during this past season. Hopefully 2012 /13 season will be more eventful year for all. :2TU:
