coyote hunting

Postby dbard51 » Thu Nov 08, 2012 2:20 pm

Does anyone on here hunt coyotes in MS regularly? I have no experience hunting them besides what I've seen on tv which is usually southwest or midwest and the terrain is much different. I actually shot a coyote last year while deer hunting and it made me think that calling and hunting coyotes might be a nice alternative to deer hunting every once in a while. Anyone have any tips or experience they could share? I'd be hunting them on delta land.

There is definitely an abundance of them these days. Calling should work just fine. Go have some fun. The rabbits will thank you!

Never tried it in the daylight hours. We used to hit the bean fields late at night with an electronic caller. Sometimes it works, sometimes it didn't. It was still fun.
