The boss lady’s car is about paid for so I might convince here I need to replace the 94 Honda TRX 300 with a side by side.
I’ve looked on line at the Kawasaki 4010 Mule 4x4, the Polaris Ranger XP 800 and the Honda Big Red.
Any of you have one of these and any of you regret what you bought?
Or any other suggestions?

Can't really say....but i guess it's which one you prefer a Honda, Kawasaki or Polaris....i have had good luck with a Yamaha, i have a 2001 400 Big Bear and would love to up grade but it's still running good at the time.

Are you wanting something "in addition" to your 4wheeler? I would not go for a replacement. Personally I don't think a side by side can replace a four wheeler. But that's just my opinion.

If I had an option of having both, I'd look for an electric cart.

I will be keeping the 4 wheeler but we have 3 different properties and it is as much as 3 miles one way. In winter it would be sooooo nice to have a windshield ;-)
And perhaps the boss lady might ride with me?

A dealer in BR has an 09 but it has 5,660 miles.
That sound a little high to me.
Over 2 years that would be almost 50 miles a weekend or 7 miles a day 7 day a week?
How many miles do you go on your 4 wheelers on an average weekend?
I would guess I go about 3 to 5.

oh and i forgot...the MAIN thing i dont like about it is, when i have the windshield in the down position, the gas fumes congregate in the cab area and it makes me sick.....now alot of people dont get bothered by the smell, maybe its just me.

Honda has the best warranty, even the axles!! As long as you don't lift it or go too big on the tires, you can go bigger but there is a limitation. Polaris does not warranty axels and it is easy to snap one. Also with the big red it has a transmission like a car and no belt to slip on you like the ranger. The best prices are Honda of brookhaven

i'm a little biased... but I prefer the ranger for your choices. I've got a rzr and I love mine. IMO the big red is just as much hype as the rincon, an over priced hunk of junk. AND I'm a honda man at heart. The rincon/bigred transmissions are junk, I've been in the atv world a while and when those transmissions break they are pretty expensive to fix.

just like people always say about belt driven bikes, the belt is gunna slip... Yeahp it will happen. but in the experiences I've had with belt driven bikes, if your in deep enough stuff to get the belt wet you probably shouldnt have been there in the first place. I've had water up over the seats in my rzr on accident on a few occasions and have never has the belt gotten wet. I had more trouble with wetting the belt washing it by running the hose over the intake or exhaust ducts.

You won't be disappointed with the bike if you go with most any sidexsides on the market, I do advise against going with a kawasaki though. The Polaris, Arctic Cat, Can-am(my personal favorite but I'm a performance oriented person), and the Yamaha Rhino are all good bikes.

For a farm/hunting oriented bike my choices would be
1. Polaris Ranger XP
2. Can-am Commander 800
3. Yamaha Rhino
4. Arctic Cat Prowler 700

Performance
1. Polaris RZR 900XP
2. Can-am Commander 1000
3. Polaris rzr 800
4. well the rest really dont perform well other than farm work.

Not knocking the arctic cat 1000s, but the rear diffs dont seem to hold up very well to that heavy of a vehicle that much power

All I can tell u from personal experience is I have way less in mine than my bro in laws ranger and it has never left me stranded. He has bought more axles and belts than I paid for my warranty and I imagine any transmission work would be expensive.

1st off I have a ranger and love it as stated above..... but I can't see how anyone can say Honda makes a hunk of junk. I also have a 05 Rincon with 6k trouble free miles. My neighbor has a big red and has almost 12k on it. He uses his as a true WORKHORSE! The above "when they break" should be "if they break" The big red just isn't the sxs for me. I like to go fast occasionally! Lol.

You cant go wrong with the newer Gators. Best side by side I have ever seen yet. And the accessories/options are endless. They also have a real motor in them now.
