Im just a dirtbag that lacks the necessary skills to hunt like a real hunter, so I just sit in a tree for a few hours in the morning and evening.

Hearing aides/blast protection

My dad was in the military back 40 years ago and he was in the 141st artillery. They use to shoot the howitzers and he use to tell me how they were suppose to wear ear protection but most of the time they wouldn't. I remind him of that everytime he says "huh". He has hearing aids now and don't wear them either. Said they are a PITA

if you already have ringing in your ears, then damage has been done. Best thing is to teach kids/youngsters to wear hearing protections NOW. I will not let me kids shoot without it.

My ringing has been increasing a lot here lately. It seems the quieter it is around me, the louder the ringing is.

A friend of mine at work has bad ringing in his ears, and finally got hearing aids. He said it almost eliminated the ringing. Said teh ear doctor said the ringing in your ear will cause even more hearing damage.

Try getting a really good calcium supplement liquid if possible. Part of the ringing could very possibly be caused from a calcium defiency, osteoporosis of the bones in the ear.

If you are asking for hearing protection recommendations, then I'll chime in.

Peltor sport. They are about $100. Very much worth it.

I have tried several of the Walker Game Ears products and all of them squealed in my ear whenever I put my iphone in my shirt pocket. :?
