Jordan is 20 years old. He graduated top of his class from Mendenhall High School. He is your typical southern, country, outdoorsman. He resides with his mother, father, and two other siblings in Mendenhall. You all may remember Jordan, he went on several "A Hunt Above" hunts and was also on MS Outdoors.
On January 8, 2008, Jordan was admitted to Batson's Children Hospital after finding a tumor on his heart. A biopsy was performed with a diagnosis of Aggressive B-Cell Lymphoma. Jordan went through a rough 7 and a half months of chemotherapy. The last week in July 2008, the tumor was small enough to be ...removed. Jordan remained in the hospital for a week and was cancer free for almost 5 years. Then on December 29, 2012 Jordan was told he had cancer for the second time. On January 3, 2013, he was diagnosed with Myelodysplastic Syndrome (MDS); a mild form of leukemia. Jordan needed a bone marrow transplant as soon as possible. After chemotherapy and necessary preparations, on March 15, 2013, Jordan received his transplant. After transplant there was a period of isolation; he made it through that. On June 20, 2013, they ran follow-up tests to check his progress. June 28, 2013, we got the dreaded results…Jordan was diagnosed with cancer for a third time, this time it is Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML); one of the most aggressive cancers known. On July 3, 2013, the decision was made to take full chemotherapy treatment for AML to get it into remission; then we will talk about doing another bone marrow transplant. Chemo began July 8, 2013.
