Had some fun yesterday

Postby junker » Fri Apr 09, 2010 8:32 am

went to my buddy's house and we set a turkey out in his pasture about 140yds away. I was shooting my longbow; he was using his recurve. we both would shoot 5 arrows apiece and see who could get the closest. The wind was gusting up to 25 mph from left to right.

neither of us hit it; but out of 5 shots; 3 of them would be within 5 feet. my buddy got one within a fot and half. we had to aim at a tree 15 ft to the left to play the wind. now thats good time

Whew....when I first started reading your post, I was afraid you were going to say you both stuck so many arrows in that turkey target at 140 yards in a 25 mph wind that it looked like a porcupine! :D
