Ardesa Buckhunter .50 Pistol

Postby Spitfire » Sat Nov 03, 2012 12:44 pm

Any of you guys ever taken big game with a handgun ? Got this Buckhunter pistol and after a few range sessions i think it's powerfull enough to take on any antilope at reasonable (+-50 -70 yds) range. This puppy will push a 365 gr bullet at 1000 fps and a 250 gr slug at 1500 fps !

Don't know Pat but it sure kicks like one with a stiff load  Quigs i had it pushing 425 gr slugs at 1070 fps but after about 15 shots i had to lay it down as my hand started hurting ,the 365's have quite a healthy bite as well !

I sure hope so Quigs ! I'm busy casting some 365 gr hollow base bullets that i want to try over the weekend if weather permits . Plan is to push them at +- 1200 fps and see if i can keep them on an A4 paper at 75 to 85 yds :)
