Could you identify this for my wife?

My wife took this in our back yard.
I assume it was a baby being so small.
Anyone know what type of snake it is?

Well to a lot of people its a DAM>>. SNAKE but to me it's just a skinny brown snake.

I usually chop the head off so I can take it to someone who can identify it. :D

Thats exactly it lee. Well really its usually the ones i really dont know what they are so give them that name
