Good idea, Huntall.

I am officially taking vacation time for the first 10 days of bow season in order to hunt. I am guaranteed to get my vacation interrupted a time or two by some work issue, but hopefully most of the time I can spend enjoying the hunting and putting some team points on the board..

Yep, I know the feeling. At least 80% or more of the pics I get of any deer are at night. I am convinced there are deer that are born, live, and die without a human ever catching a glimpse of them during the daytime, especially big racked bucks, unless they get a photo of them from a game camera. And those are hard to come by too of those elusive big bucks.

At least you know he is out there! Hope you get a shot at him.

I've got one that roams through my land occasionally. We call him "Big Boy." He is a stud hoss. Best we can tell he is at minimum a 10 point and if he has kickers, is a 12 point. We believe his is a 5.5 or 6.5 year old deer. He is definitely fully mature and very big. My hunting buddy saw him on my land twice last year from his stand but could not get a shot at him. Said his nostrils were as big as a horse. I've had my land more than 3 years and never seen him myself nor got his picture. One of our neighbors has seen him a couple of times eating in his flower garden. Most of the signtings of Big Boy have been at night.

Let's hope your 10 points and Big Boy make a mistake and cruse by our stands early in the season. Would be very cool to put two good bucks on the board for our team!

I sure hope all four of us who bowhunt on our team get to put some venison in the freezer and a rack on the wall opening day.

Have you guys noticed how much better our team name is than any of the others? I'm sure they are all jealous.

Only if you all have some very good friends that are willing to share their kills with you. Have any of you gotten the training wheels off of your bows yet? :rotflol: :rotflol: :rotflol: :moon

Free chilli with beans for all team members except for Team Tenth Legion on Friday night. I don't want any of you to go to the woods hungry. :W: :stir:

No luck with me this weekend. I did see 3. I will try again next weekend and maybe get some points. The wind and heat did not help this weekend.

Huntall, I have made 13 hunts in the 9 days since season started, shot at and missed one doe Friday evening, and jumped another deer Saturday but did not get a shot. That's my results so far.

Well, looks like I may only get 1 or 2 more hunts in before youth season starts up and my boys start hunting. I love hunting with my boys! I have been getting lots of trail cam pictures of bucks, but they are mostly at night! I hope when gun season gets here and some good cold weather that they will start walking in daylight more!
Looks like it will be gun season before I can get serious about hunting again so bring on gun season!
GOOD LUCK TEAM BUCK STOPPERS!
