Bass Pro Sale

Postby gtk » Sun Feb 11, 2007 8:58 pm

Got my Bass-Pro Fishing sale flyer in the mail yesterday...

You can be the very lucky owner of a Shimano Calcutta reel.. Regular $499.00 can be yours for only $449.00  Who would need a $450 dollar reel ?

Then some of the crank-baits, selling for $10-$15 a pop??

No thank ya.. I'll stick with my old Garcia 5000 reels & cheap spinnerbaits & buzzbaits

You'd have to be making a living with that reel to justify paying that!

I agree with GTK, think of how many rods and reels you can set up for that amount. I use Garcia, but last year I was going on a fishing trip and forgot all of my rods and reels except for one, when I fish I like to have at least two. So, I stopped at Wal-Mart and bought a cheap baitcast combo. I found that I like that 20$ setup more than the Garcia reels that I pay alot more for. Now if I am going fishing around the house and taking only one, the cheap one is my choice.

I like the 6500 series myself, bigger spool and they cast a little farther. 8)

GTK......

Come on, you know if you were single, no kids, and make a living as you do today, you would have two of them....

I know I would....

I was sittin' here daydreaming about what I'd have if I didn't have two kids.......

Had a guy tell me one of the truest statements I've ever heard....he said "I wouldn't take a million dollars for either one of my kids, but I also wouldn't take ten million to have two more just like 'em".

Oh well, where would we be without them?
