I have run in to several folks over the years that said I was fishing in "their" spot. I usually apologize to Mr. Grenada or Mr. Sardis or whatever and tell them that I will be finished in their spot soon cause the fish have been really biting. Sometimes I ask them what they did in the war that got the lake named after them. They usually get even more pissy.

I'll say I've done a good bit of fishing on large lakes, rivers, and oceans. If you don't know specifics about the area often you won't be so lucky. Experience with a specific body of water is huge!
