Evening catch

Got to take my youngest Konnor to the lake this evening and he caught 7 good brim before dark. All we had was cane poles and he did hook 1 bass but it got off before he could get it to the dock. He was disappointed about that. But we can try another day.

What's weird here is the bream don't hit crickets, you can't even buy crickets at a bait store, only at petsmart and they are expensive!!

So Texas don't have naturally occurring crickets? I didn't think any self-respecting bream would turn down a cricket. What do y'all use?

I caught one on a grub spinner, I guess maybe they use worms here too but I didn't catch one on a worm... it's weird back home they will hit a cricket as soon as it hits the water and I spent half a day with crickets and nothing...
