we need to have a fishing championship...deer hunting doesn't last all year..we can update by species, and crown champs in all divisions(bass, crappie, bream, catfish) when deer season begins...i enjoy crappie fishing, but i may catch a big pond bass to enter, too..sounds like a great off season contest

I haven't a clue. You can't go by total "weight" because nobody is going to take a scale and weigh each fish they catch.

You could have a "biggest" fish contest, maybe bass/bream/catfish/crappie ?

Or you could go by "total fish" and use pic's as proof, but I don't know how fair that would be, because I can go out to our pond and catch 25 or so small 1/2 pound bass anytime..

You could always do a tournament style contest and take a 5 fish limit or whatever number for a team. You could do it monthly or have weekend contest. There really is no honest way to do it without being there to see everyone's fish. If we could count on everyone to be HONEST we could make it work somehow.
