Any yall been yet ? Its only 7 miles from me, but haven't had time to go.
The state site has some pics posted and it seems all you need to do right now is carry a dip-net :lol:

Iveygun, I've got Spring Break in two weeks and I'm thinking that I may go and give it a try...the pics from the State Board make it look good. My dad rode out there last week took a few pics from the boat ramp...I'll post them if I can find them. I grew up all over that area out there. It's only about 15 minutes from my parent's house.

They didn't cut hardly any timber down before flooding it as you can tell. I heard that one boat caught 21 bass before leaving that first cove by the ramp on opening day.

The lake is about 5 miles west of Crystal Springs. Crystal Springs is about 20-25 miles south of Jackson on I-55.

We have spring break next week and are gonna give the new lake a run for a few days. I'll post how it goes.
