Fruit pies

Postby LadyHunter » Thu Sep 04, 2014 5:50 pm

Does anyone remember the fruit pies from the kitchens of our parents and grandparents? The smell, the taste? I have been making them again this summer. Fresh apples from my trees and blueberries from my bushes. They may not be pretty but they taste good.

The small pan is homemade cheese crackers.

I will never forget them. They would wake you up from the soundest sleep. The aroma would fill the house.

I expected the apple ones to go first but everyone has loved the blueberry. I was afraid they would not like them. I have been working to get my crust right and the last few batches have been about perfect!
