I know the feeling. My wife is from a family of 12.
And still cook like they all live with us.

Pat, my mother had 21 brothers and sisters. I think that's why I cook so much. I don't want anyone leaving hungry.

That looks great and I just had supper a couple hours ago but could eat a bowl of that.....make it and freeze some for later, we do that all the time with vegetable soup cause we make about 8 gal. at a time

Ha! Ha Jv, Sherrie , said the plan was to start clearing out the freezer to make room for fresh venison. I took out two 2 lb. bags of ground and put back 5 1 quart freezer bowls. Think I am going backwards.

My wife told me last night that I need to smoke some more of those thick pork chops to put in the freezer so I guess tomorrow I will be smoking pork chops. Sure is nice to come in and just pull them out of the freezer and heat up .

I can tell y'all aren't feeding kids and teenagers at that. Nothing and I mean nothing, makes it to the freezer. We have no leftovers.

No LadyHunter it is just me and my wife and she said this morning that she needs to start on some vegetable soup and she makes about 8 gal. at a time that we put up mostly in 3 pound butter bowls and a few smaller for individual serving.

I used the venison instead of beef and doubled the meat amount. Mine came out more of a Chile than a soup. But it was very good.
