Brisket

Been working around the house all week since it has been so pretty and Tuesday I got a brisket out of the freezer and let it set in the frig till yesterday. I seasoned it with salt and pepper and rubbed it in good, then I injected it with apple juice, melted butter with garlic powder. Smoked it for 6 hours at 265°. Turned out pretty good for my first attempt at a brisket.

Terry, to my surprise it was real tender and juicy. The smoke favor was great, I smoked it using apple chips and pellets.

Did you have any liquid in the water pan jv? I've heard that lots of folks don't use any.
