Pat, I wish it was a joke. Told Sherrie, it just doesn't taste the same to me. I know I love sausage, may have to start making it again. The hindquarter, that I smoked I gave it away also. Guess it's an age thing. Taste buds, must change also.

Perhaps you are just burned out on the way you are processing or cooking it. No one enjoys eating the same thing all the time, taste change. We had about quit eating it until we changed processors and stopped processing any ourselves. Venison is about all we eat now.

Terry, I ran into that when I moved to the property I hunt now until I figured out what the problem was. We are shooting more mature deer, don't put out dump truck loads of corn and neither do most of our neighbors. It actually tastes like deer instead of grain feed 1-1/2 year old beef. It didn't take long for my tastebuds to come back around. Hopefully yours will too.

I have the same problem Terry, I never have really liked fried venison. I smoked part of a hind quarter a couple weeks ago and it was OK but everyone else tore it up.

Well, I made venison Chile last night in the elite pressure cooker.
No problems with taste buds, on this one. Sherrie and I made total pigs of ourselves.

Yeah, that looks scrumptious. I like Glenn in that some deer just taste different, depending on diet and sex I'm sure. I also heard that a deer that had been running wasn't as good.

Jeremy, came to hunt Thursday afternoon. Came out and asked where the Chile was? I told him the Chile bandit must have stole it. But don't worry give me ten minutes.
