Venison Burgers

Postby terry08 » Thu Jan 25, 2018 7:48 pm

I haven't eaten one yet. And the way they are disappearing, don't think I will. Venison, bacon, jalapeño, cheese and onion burgers. Image

Along with sweet garlic and cheese, dipping bread. Great with spinach dip.

Did you put cheese in the meat?
I have some high temp cheese that we love to mix in with the burgers

Yes Jerry, I use only fresh grated sharp cheddar cheese. The store bought shredded and high temp, both contain fillers, that I don't care for. I try to use only fresh ingredients in everything I cook. It does make a difference in the final outcome. I never freeze venison with anything added. I add the additional ingredients at time of preparation. This also includes the fats.

I only add fat to venison that I can consume in thirty days. When I grind venison, I freeze and make my sausage in small batches that will be eaten in thirty days.
