8 lb, baking hen. Ready for the Big Easy tomorrow.

8 lbs dressing ready for the oven tomorrow.

21 lbs venison patty sausage, ready to be stuffed into round game bags.

The ham will be cooked, in the crock pot on low, over night. A hindquarter, will also be in the smoker.
Mashed potatoes, pink fluff salad. Corn, green bean casserole, squash casserole, butter peas and other sides will be served.
Hope it's not too much for Sherrie and I.

Greg, I make it a couple times a month. Probably my favorite dish any time of year. And I know mom's and grandma's was always the best. But I must say that I have only eaten bad dressing a couple of times in my life. And yes, it was made by folks from the north, who moved south and we're still trying to learn.

I need to invite myself to your house for dinner! Looks like a great start. Love some old fashioned dressing!

No you couldn't. It will put you to sleep ten minutes, after you eat it. You need to be close to a recliner, or sofa after consuming it.

Yes. That's the only way I'll cook my birds now. Gets smoked flavor and juiciness of fried.

Will be prime rib, and Sherrie's ham, from now on. No matter how you cook them. Turkey and baking hens, all taste the same. I would prefer fried chicken over both.
