Was not one of my big deer like I thought. Was in a thicket. Hard to judge, when you can't see whole deer! Too late for points? 8pt

Couple weeks ago. I was nervous and thought the deer was leaving. Rushed my shot. Hate to waste a deer. Next time I need to let it go. Also, wish I knew it wasn't one of my big ones when I shot. Would have let this one walk. Would have been a good one in a few years.

I will not post my deer in the contest. I don't want to offend no one. I'm still new on the forum, and have not heard anything on this situation. Part of me is frustrated on wasting the animal and part is glad to know what is was and have the rack. It was a good learning experience on my part. Everyone hunt hard till the end! I'll keep trying and will try to get another buck or two if I can for my team!

I know it will not be a pretty picture, but if the head is attached and you are certain it's your deer, then I don't see a problem. I am not a judge, but the fact that you killed the deer and found it later shows that you are a true sportsman. Smacko, is a fair man. He will make the right decision. Good luck

I say let his points count.. I mean what is the harm guys? I believe his story 100% and IF he was not telling the truth its only hurting his character. Not like we win anything but bragging rights. Awesome you found that buck. Congrats

Let it count.....i have not nor as far as i know no one on our team has killed a deer this year but if it happened to one of use i hope it would be counted, it is only a friendly contest and i believe that bucksides did kill the deer fair and it should be counted. Just my thoughts.

I would even be good with a picture, lips to cheek. You decide who's lips and who's cheek :party . Seriously though, congratulations on finding him. I know there are reasons for the rules, but I also agree with everyone else, count the points.

Thanks for all the support. I've had the privilege of being in one of the best forums on the net. Got the green light to post it. Hate that it turned out the way it did, but you live and learn. Was very fortunate to find my deer. Thanks.
