Well friends I cost us 5 points this morning.
Honey Bee said deer and I grabbed Bambi for her first kill.
I told Honey Bee the doe is calm and looking back in the woods, "Shoot it" she said.
Range was 360 yards full broadside with a rifle I have not shot at that range.
When I shot she said you shot under it but we went and checked and found blood in the woods, and tracked until the deer went into another beaver pond, the blood was very maroon colored and very little of it, I think I hit the front leg below the chest. The thing I should have done was used my old rifle that is proven.
Dang I hate to wound an animal. :( :(

You ain't Davey Crockett, or Daniel Boone. At your age you need to stay with the 150 yds and under. And never let a lady tell you when to shoot.

no argument from me on this one. The 208 gr A-Max is a lot different than the 168 Speer Match

LOL.. that's a heck of a shot. Just need to dial it in a little, and with Honeybee, as your spotter I am sure 500 is in your future.
Good Luck...

Its on now boys! I have upgraded one of my 8pts with the 10pt I was hunting. That should tie it up. I had another 10pt on my place in Alabama but the season is over there so I prob. won't be able to help upgrade any more. Somebody needs another buck to put this thing away. :stir:

I agree bigsteve, I have always said that second place just means you finished last behind first. Whereas a tie means two first place winner's.
